-
Included here will be farmer’s markets, festivals and parades.
-
In the municipal segment, leadership in preservation and restoration initiatives, legal protection of heritage sites, ordinances and resource availability. And, finally, clear evidence of wide community involvement and youth participation in cultural, historical and heritage activities.
How Coshocton excels in this category
Coshocton is rich with historical landmarks, museums and hidden historic gems. Visitors can get a glimpse into Ohio history and the region's historic past at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum and visit the restored Ohio-Erie canal town of Historic Roscoe Village. Here you may take the living history tour through the village or ride on a canal boat and discover what life was like living in the 1800s. You can learn about why Coshocton has a street called “Whitewoman” and the story of Mary Harris, the first white woman in the territory.
